Digital Inclusion

The Digital Inclusion pillar at Solidarity Foundation ensures that knowledge and information flow about the organisation, and in any capacity - internal or external, remains consistent and in line with the vision, mission and goals of the organisation. The pillar works with across thematic areas & teams, community leaders and collectives, funders, partners, collaborators at all levels, to enable uniform communications, adhering to the brand guidelines, with the aim to showcase the organisation’s growth and achievements. In line with the vision and mission of SF, the Digital Inclusion pillar works with GSM, FSW & PLHIV communities to build their digital skills, enable their online safety and presence, and also to ensure a growing understanding of digital rights, safety and their agency to advocate for themselves on these platforms.

Key Focus Areas / Sub-Themes,

  1. Organisational Communications - Developing and maintaining the essence of the organisation on all digital and online platforms, including but not limited to website, social media platforms, presentation of staff portfolios- following strategically established communication and content. This also includes any communications material developed as SoPs, policies, guidelines, modules - which are representative of the organisation.
  2. Thematic & Programmatic Communications - SF has a varied range of thematic areas, and the Digital Inclusion pillar works with all of these thematic areas and teams to ensure their communications & digital deliverables are developed in line with the organisation’s essence, requirement of the programme, and follows a high standard of quality check. These deliverables can include printables, social media deliverables, photographs, videos, audios, written materials, reports, modules, guides, interactive technology, presentations, pitch decks and proposals.
  3. External Communications - SF with its 12+ years of history, is a known entity in the not-for-profit sector, while also having a large pool of connections across corporate spaces, high-net-worth individuals, global partners etc. In this context, it becomes conducive that the Digital Inclusion team are also responsible for all external communications which include partnerships with other NGOs, INGOs, networks, alliances, corporate groups, philanthropic ventures who have in the past collaborated with SF, or have plans to do so in the future. While some of these collaborations result in communication products like ‘At The Threshold’ book on aging sex workers, some also include building partnerships through Instagram Live, associations with entities like Aravani Art Project, DesignBeku and others.
  4. Digital Inclusion - The Digital Inclusion pillar have been innovating in the digital space since its inception. In 2025, Digital Inclusion became a separate thematic area that is currently being piloted. Under the same, the pillar leads multiple efforts through training, skill development, cascading and networking with grassroots leaders and community members on digital transformation through skill building, advocacy, digital safety, digital financial inclusion, development of online and digital products.
